Police identify victim of Burrows Avenue homicide

Police have released the name of the victim in the Burrows Avenue homicide that happened early Sunday morning, November 7, 2021.

Police had been called to the intersection of Burrows Avenue at Aikins Street for the report of an assault around 1:48 am. When officers arrived on the scene they located the victim suffering serious injuries and immediately began emergency first aid.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives have identified the victim as 28-year-old Felix Bernard Chief of Winnipeg.

Member of the homicide unit continue to investigate.
