Winnipeg Police Service homicide investigators have identified the victim of the 42nd homicide in Winnipeg this year.
Police had been called to a home in the 500 block of Furby Street on December 24 for the report of a male suffering serious injuries.
The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Lloyd William Chubb from Winnipeg.
Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the case and are asking anyone with information to call (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
