Winnipeg Police have identified the 44-year-old male victim in a homicide that took place on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Adam Douglas Monkman has been identified as the man who had been severely assaulted in the 400 block of Maryland Street near Ellice Avenue.

When officers arrived around 6:00 pm they found Monkman was unresponsive and suffering from multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide unit identified a suspect and on Tuesday July 7, 2020, made an arrest.
Charges Wilfred Thompson, 34 has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
Thompson was detained in custody.
