Winnipeg Police have identified the human remains found near Main Street and Alfred Avenue late Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2021.
Investigators say the victim is 29-year-old Jana Noella Williams.
In an unusual move police released photos of the victim in an effort to prompt those who may recognize her to come forward with any information on her recent whereabouts.
Homicide detectives are asking for help to track Jana’s whereabouts and activities for the two weeks prior to her remains being located.
