Winnipeg Police investigators have identified the victim in the Mountain Avenue homicide on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Investigators say that the deceased and the accused had gone to a gathering at a residence in the 500 block. The pair did not know each other prior to the incident. After leaving the residence the pair had an encounter where the victim was shot and killed.
The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Everett Patterson King.
Police arrested and charged 21-year-old Dartanian Francesco Martin Packuluk for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
