Winnipeg Police have taken to social media in the hopes of finding the family or the last resting place of a man who died in 1992.
According to police they found a headstone in a garage when they were investigating an unrelated matter in April.
Officers have contacted local cemeteries and headstone makers in an effort to locate the proper owner of the grave marker but have not had any luck.
Peter Cook is the name etched into the stone and the birth and death dates indicate he was 67 when he passed away almost 25 years ago.
If you have any information that can help police locate the family or the grave site call them at 204-986-6280
