Police dog finds seriously injured driver after collision

RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 just north of PR 231 that happened Sunday night, November 22, 2020.

Police say that a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and sideswiped a southbound vehicle. The collision caused both vehicles to go into the ditch.

Police became concerned after they learned the driver of the northbound vehicle left the scene on foot and appeared to be injured.

Officers and Police Service Dog Earl responded. Earl, along with his handler, tracked the injured male through fields and wooded areas for about a kilometre before he was located in a semi-conscious state.
