Manitoba First Nations Police Service are praising the efforts of ‘CETO’ a police serve dog in their K-9 Unit with the capture of a wanted suspect.
Around 1:00 am on Sunday, October 6, 2019 police learned that a 32-year-old man who had been on the run for more than two years was at a local Waywayseecappo home.
As officers approached the residence a number of people from inside the home fled including the suspect who escaped out a basement window.
PSD Ceto quickly found the suspects sent and tracked him about 200 metres through tall grass. As the dog approached the victim surrendered to officers.

- Assault Cause Bodily Harm x 2
- Assault with Weapon x2
- Break & Enter Residence to Commit x1
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking x 6
- Fail to Appear in Court x 1
- Fail to Comply – Sex Offender Information Registry Act x1
- Fail to Comply with Probation x4 Utter threats x1
- Mischief Under $5000 x1
- Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public x2
