Winnipeg Police Service investigators have arrested and charged an adult and three teens in connection to the death of three people as the result of an August 22, 2022, serious assault.
Police say that the victims, 36-year-old Danielle Ballantyne, 54-year-old Marvin Felix and 51-year-old Troy Baguley all succumbed to their injuries, Ballantyne at the scene, Felix on August 26 and Baguley on March 3, 2023.
Police initially arrested and charged two 15-year-old males. On March 21, 2023, 21-year-old Tristen Colten Moose was arrested in Headingley Correctional Centre and charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement in the death of Baguley. On April 5, 2023, the two male teens who had previously been charged with the death of Ballantyne and Felix were arrested at the Manitoba Youth Centre. Police also arrested a 14-year-old male at his residence.
Investigators say the victims and suspects were not previously known to each other. All four of the accused were detained in custody.
Police say that the investigation has now concluded and no further arrests are anticipated.
