Police catch man involved in 23 break-ins in south Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police have arrested a 59-year-old male in connection to 23 break-ins in the south end of the city.

On July 5, 2021, the accused was located in the 1700 block of Taylor Avenue and arrested. Police say that he still was in possession of stolen property from a break-in earlier in the day on Bridgeland Drive South.

Investigators estimate that the suspect caused about $23,000 in damage and made off with nearly $119,000 in property.

Allen Emile Lambert has been charged for his alleged involvement with nineteen counts of Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House and four counts of Break and Enter with intent – Dwelling House.

Lambert was detained in custody.

Winnipeg police continue to investigate.
