Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 31-year-old Winnipeg man in connection to a Dufferin Avenue break-in early Saturday morning, April 23, 2022.
According to police, general patrol officers and a K-9 unit responded to the break-in call around 3:45 am. The suspect las located exiting the building.
When the suspect saw police he placed the stolen property and a loaded improvised firing device (zip gun) on the ground. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Police say the accused is facing the following charges for his alleged involvement: Three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Possession of a Weapon, Break, Enter & Theft (Place), Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.
He was detained in custody.
