On July 15, 2021, News 4 told you about a robbery and subsequent arrest in the 100 block of Bairdmore Boulevard.
On Friday the Winnipeg Police Service released more information regarding the incident.
Around 1:15 pm on Thursday a male walked into a Bridgewater area bank with his face covered and carrying what appeared to be an assault-style rifle. Police say he approached the front counter, pointed the weapon at an employee and demanded money. The employee complied.
The suspect fled in a vehicle but was quickly located by police at the Bairdmore Blvd. address.
Three people were initially taken into custody and a search warrant was obtained to search the home.
The Major Crimes Unit took control of the investigation and executed the search warrant that uncovered the money from the bank and an imitation firearm. Officers also seized a vehicle.
24-year-old Oshiobugie Bryan Okhaimo was charged for his alleged involvement with Armed Robbery Using a Firearm, Use of Imitation Firearm During the Commission of an Indictable Offence, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon, and Disguise with intent.
He was detained in custody.
