POLICE BUST SUSPECTS AND END CRIME SPREE

 

 

Armed robbers charged

 

 

 

 

 

 

Police have been on the trail of a number of suspects involved in a crime spree around Winnipeg since late last fall.

Finally after months of chasing the suspects and ongoing investigations officers arrested three individuals on Sunday morning.

 

Around 5:40 am a convenience store in the 100 block of McPhillips Street was robbed by four suspects. One of the robbers was seen with a handgun as the store was robbed of cash and merchandise including cigarettes.   

 

Patrol offices and a Canine unit responded to the robbery call and were able to locate three suspects in a vehicle on Victor Street. Police found a number of stolen items in the vehicle.   

Just after 11:00 am two more suspects were found in the 200 block of College Avenue. They came into contact with police on an unrelated matter.   

A 20 year old male, 30 year old male, and 31 year old male have been charged with numerous weapon related offences including, Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or prohibited Firearm.

   

Police continue to investigate.
