POLICE BUST MAN WITH HANGUN AFTER HE WAS INVOLVED IN BAR FIGHT

 

 

Suspect goes out to car, gets and loads handgun after he assaulted a bar patron

 

 

 

 

Winnipeg Police have a 25 year old male in custody and have charged him with a number of weapons and assault related offences.

On Monday, May 22, 2017 just before midnight police got a report that a man was seen in a parking lot with a gun in the 1100 block of Arlington Street.

Police say that the man had been in a fight with another patron at the bar. He then left the bar and went out to a vehicle in the parking lot were witnesses saw him retrieve a handgun and load it with ammunition.

Officers were able to disarm the suspect and arrest him without incident.

Chad Daniel CAMERON,25, from Winnipeg, has been charged with thirteen offences for his alleged involvement including:

  •  Careless Use of a Firearm
  • Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
  • Unauthorized Use of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Assault
  • Utter Threats to Kill

 The accused was detained in custody.
