Brandon Police were called to a downtown bar on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, just after 11:00 pm when an employee spotted a gun in the back of a man’s pants.
When police arrived the man had already left the bar. He was located a short distance away. A search of the suspect revealed that the weapon was, in fact, a toy gun.
He also had a small space heater in his possession that he had stolen from the bar.
Police learned that the man also had several outstanding warrants for his arrest for theft under $5,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance, Fail to Appear for Finger Prints and Fail to Attend Court.
The 52-year old male was arrested and detained at the Brandon Correctional Centre.
