Just after 9:30 Wednesday morning, July 26, 2017, Winnipeg police responded to what is being described as a “potentially serious incident”.

Officers are in the area of Edison Avenue and Henderson Highway.

Police are being tight lipped about the nature of the call  but officers could be seen going in and out of a nearby apartment building.

General patrol units, Tactical Support units and a K-9 unit were all on scene.

As of noon the situation was still underway and roads and laneways in the area were blocked.

Just after 12:30 police took to social media and said the situation was resolved with one man in custody.
