“Suspicious circumstance” turns out to be a robbery
On Saturday police were calling an incident at the Mac’s convenience store a “suspicious circumstances”.
Today Winnipeg Police have confirmed that it was, in fact, a robbery that they were investigating.
It happened around 7:oo am on Saturday May 6, 2017. Three men entered the store in the 1000 block of Autumnwood Drive and confronted the single male staff member.
The suspects assaulted the employee and fled on foot after stealing an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. Police found out about the robbery by a witness who saw it happen and then called them.

The employee was taken to hospital in stable condition after emergency crews arrived on scene.
Winnipeg’s K-9 unit was called in and the dog was able to track the suspects to an apartment close by.
All three males were located and arrested.
Police have charged Scott Jason Gibbs, 26, John Edward Hornbrook, 33, and Kevin James William, 35 all from Winnipeg for their alleged involvement.
They have been detained in custody.
