A 17-year-old male has been charged with uttering threats after he made online threats to hurt people at Garden City Collegiate on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
Police say that they became aware of the threats just after 5:30 pm. Investigators say that at the time the threats were made a sporting event was being held at the school.
Officers located the suspect around 8:30 pm and placed him under arrest. The accused is not a student at the school and police say that no threat related to the incident remains to the school or neighbourhood.
