Investigators have identified the victim and have charged one male in connection to a Toronto Street murder that happened early Saturday morning, February 26, 2022.
Police say the victim is 22-year-old Jordon James Bateman. Bateman had been stabbed and was taken to hospital in critical condition but died shortly afterwards. A second person was also injured and taken to hospital. They are in stable condition.
Investigators have arrested and charged 21-year-old Jonathan Dakota Cree Chaske for his alleged involvement in the killing with Second Degree Murder.
Police say that the victim and accused were known to each other.
Chaske was detained in custody.
