A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the January 2023 homicide of Star Alicia Thomas.
Thomas was found on January 3, 2023, after emergency crews responded to a fire in a Sargent Avenue apartment. She died from her injuries.

On March 27, 2023, Joey Robertson Lecoy was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder, five counts of Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Orders.
He was detained in custody.
Investigators say that Lecoy and Thomas were known to each other.
