16 year old youth charged in homicide on Thames Avenue
As News4 told you on January 3, 2017, at around 10:00pm, Winnipeg Police received a number of reports of gunshots heard in the vicinity of Thames Avenue and Watt Street.

When police officers arrived on scene they found 25 year old Tyler Kirton lying on the street. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators from the homicide unit were quickly able to identify a suspect and on January 4, 2017 they arrested and charged a 16 year old youth in relation to their alleged involvement in the homicide.
As the youth is a minor their identity cannot be released.
