Winnipeg Police arrested a man during the noon hour on Friday, May 12, 2023, in connection to an investigation into a suspicious male watching school-aged children at Victor H.L.Wyatt School on Thursday, May 11.
Police were called to the school when the same man returned to the area on Friday. When officers arrived they arrested the man without incident.
After an interview with investigators from the Child Abuse unit the male was released and has no pending charges. Police have determined that this incident is not related to two other incidents that happened on Thursday in the River East Transcona School Division.
The Child Abuse unit is continuing to investigate those incidents.
