Police are looking for a male in his 40s to early 50s after he allegedly grabbed a woman outside an apartment complex in Sage Creek.
It happened on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. The victim was unloading groceries from her vehicle in the parking lot around 12:45 pm when a man who had just driven up approached her.
Initially, the man engaged in small talk asking about the complex but soon the conversation became inappropriate. At this point, the male grabbed the woman around her torso. He let her go and got back in his vehicle.
Later the same day just before 7:00 pm the male returned to the complex. This time the male was seen trying to gain entry but was unsuccessful.
The suspect has been described as a Caucasian male in his 40s to early 50s, about 6’1″ tall, short grey hair with a grey moustache that ended at the jawline. He was wearing blue jeans and a Winnipeg Jets shirt.
Police say that he was seen driving a grey, four-door, Ford sedan. The model is unknown but is thought to be a newer model year and in clean condition
Winnipeg’s Sex Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
