Police are investigating two stabbings on Monday

Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit is investigating two unrelated stabbings that happened on Monday, December 20, 2021.

Around 10:30 am a male in his 30s was walking in the area of Richot Street and Hamelin Avenue in St. Boniface when he was confronted and stabbed. The victim was able to make it home and called police. When officers arrived they preformed emergency first aid. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Later that day, just before midnight, a female in her teens was found on Main Street by a delivery driver. The victim had been stabbed and was bleeding.

When officers arrived on the scene they applied a chest seal to the victim while waiting on paramedics to arrive. She was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
