Winnipeg Police are warning about online classified scams after several people purchased Winnipeg Jets playoff tickets and Winnipeg Whiteout street party tickets from online platforms.

Police say they have received several reports about people purchasing tickets through online classifieds, sending money online and never receiving the tickets only to be ghosted by the unknown seller.

According to True North Sports and Entertainment, Whiteout Street Party tickets for games 3 and 4 have been sold out. Street party tickets sold on platforms other than the official websites are not verifiable and should be considered fraudulent. Future street party tickets will only be sold through Ticketmaster.
