City secures play structure site until a replacement can be built.
On Friday April 21, 2107 the City of Winnipeg committed to replacing the play structure that was destroyed by fire earlier this month near Harbourview Golf Course.
The popular recreation attraction was set a blaze by a number of youths who have been charged by police for the arson.

The city says that due to safety concerns they have secured the area and will be removing the charred remains over the next week.
In the short term families looking for an alternative play structure are invited to use the one located at Olympic Park at 864 Headmaster Row just minutes away.
City officials will be developing a budget as well as establishing replacement options to be considered. When the new structure is available for use hasn’t been determined.
