Passengers faced a long walk to the airport in Shamattawa Sunday evening, January 19, 2020, after the plane they were in veered off the runway into a snowbank.
A Perimeter Aviation flight with 11 passengers on board landed at the airport around 5:oo pm on a flight bound from Thompson.
The plane made it to the ground safely but as it was taxiing along the runway it suddenly veered right and crashed into a snowbank.
The plane suffered damage to one of its propellers but it is not known yet what else may have been damaged.
No one was injured in the crash.
