RCMP and the Transportation Safety Board are investigating a plane crash that happened around 10:00 am as the crop duster was attempting to land at the Russell airport about 360 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
The 53 -year-old pilot was injured and remains in hospital but his injuries are considered minor in nature.
At the time of the crash winds in the area were strong and may have contributed to the plane flipping over.

Although the runway was closed for a short time while RCMP investigated it has since reopened.
