Weather may have played factor in plane crash
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has confirmed a small plane has crashed in the area of Brunkild, Manitoba about 45 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.

RCMP have confirmed that a 60 year old man and a 41 year old man died in the crash. Family confirm that one of the men who died in the crash was Art Partkau the owner of the company that owned the plane.
According to RCMP they received word just before 9:00pm Thursday that the plane was overdue on a flight from St. Andrews Airport just north of Winnipeg to Winkler. RCMP dispatched officers to search for the plane. Canadian Forces Search and Rescue crews were also involved in the search.
The plane was located just after 1:00am Friday morning.
According to police weather conditions were bad and visibility was poor in the area of the crash.
According to registration records the plane was a Cessna 185 built in 1980 and based in Winkler, Manitoba. The aircraft is owned by Arty’s Air Service Ltd.. When contacted by News4 staff at Arty’s refused to comment on the crash.
