RCMP were called after a plane passing over the downed aircraft spotted it and made a report.

Using a commercial helicopter two RCMP officers flew to the area of the downed plane. The helicopter pilot was not able to land in the boggy area but hovered just above the ground so that the pilot of the plane could be brought onboard.

The male pilot was the only person onboard the float plane. He was not injured in the incident.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified.
