On November 5, 2024, just after 3 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service and the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service responded to a motor vehicle collision at Holy Cross Elementary School in the 300 block of Dubuc Street.
A pickup truck crashed through the building, breaching a classroom. Fortunately, there were no injuries to any students, staff, or the driver, as the class was empty at the time of the incident.
The adult male driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police. There is no suspicion of criminal intent, and the vehicle is currently undergoing an inspection.
