For more than three decades Take Back the Night has been calling for the end of violence against women with their annual rally and march through north end streets.
Last night, October 20, 2016 was no different. Hundreds of Winnipeggers gathered to support each other and demand change to the way women are exposed to not only physical and sexual violence but also to body shaming, cat-calling and intimidation.
Leading the march from the Indian & Metis Friendship centre on Robinson Street was the Mama Bear clan, a group of women who patrol the north end.
