Traffic in both directions on Pembina Highway will be diverted between Jubilee Avenue and Stafford Street as of 8:00 pm tonight until 4:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2018.
Traffic will also be closed in the same spot next weekend December 14 to December 17, 2018.
The city says that the closures are necessary so that crews can demolish the CN Bridge crossing the roadway as part of the Southwest Rapid Transitway project.
Construction will be taking place around the clock and pedestrians and cyclists will be shuttled between two pick-up and drop-off points on either side of the construction.
Alternate routes during the closure are Osborne Street, Waverley Street or Kenaston Boulevard.
