Stonewall RCMP is investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 7 early Monday morning, June 21, 2021.
Police say that an SUV was travelling southbound when it hit a 50-year-old male from Selkirk who was walking partially in the median lane. It was dark at the time of the collision and this section of highway has no lighting.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 45-year-old Winnipeg driver and his female passenger were not injured in the collision.
Investigators say that alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision.
RCMP continue to investigate.
