RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 29-year-old female from Lake St. Martin First Nation.
Police say that the woman had been walking along Provincial Road 513 on Wednesday evening, December 16, 2020, when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
The 20-year-old male driver stopped at the scene and called 911.
Police say they believe that very dark conditions and that the victim was wearing dark clothing were factors in the collision.
RCMP investigators do not believe alcohol or speed played any part in the incident.
RCMP continue to investigate.
