A 31-year-old female pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in the Polo Park area of the city.

Police say that shortly before 3:30 pm on Friday January 11, 2019 a vehicle was travelling southbound on St. James Street and making a turn east onto Maroons Road when it collided with a northbound vehicle. The northbound vehicle then hit the pedestrian and a traffic light pole.

The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the collision say police.
