A 35-year-old woman is in custody after she hit a pedestrian in St. Theresa Point, Manitoba about 465 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
Police say that on Thursday, July 19, 2018, the woman was intoxicated and had been travelling near the Nursing Station when she hit a 13-year-old female who was walking on the road. The collision caused serious injuries to the youth and she was airlifted to Winnipeg. The victim died on Friday, July 20, 2018.
Paula Wood has been arrested and charged with Impaired Operation Causing Death for her alleged involvement.
