PEDESTRIAN HIT | WOMAN INJURED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY DUMP TRUCK

Another pedestrian has benefit by a vehicle in Winnipeg. 

Monday night, September 26, 2016 around 10:00pm emergency crews responded to the report of a dump truck hitting a pedestrian in the Chalmers Avenue and Watt Street area.

The initial investigation indicated that the truck was travelling northbound on Watt St then made a right hand turn onto Chalmers Ave striking the pedestrian.

A 53 year old female was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
   
The roadway was closed til midnight as police investigated the scene.

The driver of the truck has been identified and is cooperating with police in the investigation.

Police say that charges will be considered upon completion of the investigation.
