A 55-year-old man is in hospital after he was hit by a semi-trailer truck on Notre Dame Avenue Thursday evening, January 25, 2018.
It happened around 8:30 pm and according to investigators, it appears the pedestrian had stepped onto the road just prior to being hit by the truck.
The victim was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police say that it is unlikely that the driver of the semi will face any charges related to the incident.
Investigators are looking for witnesses who may have seen the collision.
