A 17-year-old female driver is potentially facing charges after the vehicle she was driving hit a 70-year-old female pedestrian.
It happened in Portage la Prairie just before noon on Friday, November 24, 2017. Police say the pedestrian was crossing on a green light on Saskatchewan Avenue heading north on Tupper Street when she was hit by a vehicle travelling south on Tupper trying to make a left turn and go east on Saskatchewan.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated and later released. The driver did not suffer any injuries.
RCMP say that the investigation is continuing and that the driver of the vehicle may be facing charges.
