The victim of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Henderson Highway near Oakland Avenue on September 8, 2022, has died.

Police say the female in her 90’s passed away due to her injuries on Thursday, September 15.

The investigation into the incident has determined that the collision was not criminal in nature.

The collision happened around 2:30 pm and investigators say that the victim had been attempting to cross Henderson Highway from between parked cars when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

An off-duty police officer who was nearby responded to the scene and provided emergency medical care to the victim until paramedics arrived. The woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition but her condition got worse and she was downgraded to critical.

Investigators met with the driver of the vehicle and several witnesses.
