At approximately 4:00 a.m. today, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a distress call reporting an injured individual at the intersection of Pembina Highway and Adamar Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male with severe injuries.
Emergency responders from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured male to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The adult driver of the vehicle involved in the collision stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Preliminary findings by the Traffic Division’s Collision Investigation Section indicate that the male pedestrian was crossing Pembina Highway eastbound near Adamar Road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
