Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called out to a building fire that erupted due to an explosion early Monday Morning, October 8, 2018, on Paramount Road near Inkster Boulevard.
It took several hours but crews had the fire under control by mid-morning. Firefighters remained at the scene for the rest of the day putting out hot spots. A demolition crew was also called in to remove the rest of the roof so that crews could put out the remaining spot fires. By 11:20 pm the fire was completely out.
The cause of the fire is not known and is under investigation.
