Just after midnight firefighters were called to a barn fire on Cadboro Road in Waverley West.

Flames could be seen shooting into the air from several kilometres away.

An offensive attack was launched but due to issues with fire hydrants in the area water had to be trucked in.

Fire also broke out in a second building on the property which also suffered significant damage according to officials.
