Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a two-storey multi-family building in the fire 100 block of Euclid Avenue on Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2022.
An offensive attack was launched after crews found smoke coming from one of the suites in the building who they arrived on the scene. The fire was put out very quickly and declared under control within 15 minutes of their arrival.
People in the suite where the fire originated and those in neighbouring suites were able to self evacuate before firefighters made it to the scene. Those in neighbouring suites were able to return to them once the fire was out.
Two people were assessed at the scene with one of them taken to hospital in stable condition, no the injuries were reported.
The fire was contained to the one suite. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
