Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating after a fire in a two-storey house in the 600 block of Toronto Street.
A small fire in the house was out when crews arrived.
One person was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The house suffered minor damage to contents.
