Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were called to a two-storey, multi-family building in the 1000 block of Corydon Avenue for the report of a fire on Tuesday May 23, 2023.
When firefighters arrived shortly after 8:30 am they found smoke and flames coming from the building. An offensive interior attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 9:04 am.
Everyone in the building had self-evacuated before emergency crews arrived on the scene. One individual was assessed and treated by paramedics then taken to hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
