Emergency crews responded to a fire in a home in the 200 block of Forest Avenue around 4:10 am Friday, March 26, 2021.
When they arrived they encountered smoke coming from the building. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 4:38 am.
Everyone inside theme was able to get out before firefighters arrived. Paramedics assessed one person and transported them to hospital in stable condition.
The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team was sent to the scene to help residents who were displaced due to the fire find temporary housing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
