One person sent to hospital after a police-involved collision.

One person was sent to hospital on Tuesday morning, July 14, 2020 after being involved in a collision with a Winnipeg Police Service cruiser.

Around 10: 00 am the front end of a marked police patrol unit collided with the driver’s side of a passenger car at the intersection of McPhillips Street and Inkster Boulevard.

Significant damage was caused to both vehicles.

It is not known at this time if the police had their emergency lights on at the time of the collision.

McPhillips was closed for several hours as officers investigated.
