One person injured in Kenaston Boulevard traffic collision

One person was taken to hospital after a traffic collision on Kenaston Boulevard at Corydon Avenue on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to the scene at 3:53 pm and found a pickup truck had crashed through a fence on Kenaston Boulevard and a car had sheared off a red light traffic camera and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Corydon Avenue.

The car had significant front-end damage due to the collision. The driver of the car suffered unknown injuries and was transported to hospital by paramedics.

Winnipeg Police put out an advisory on social media for drivers to avoid the area. Traffic was backed up for several blocks in all directions. The westbound lanes of Corydon were closed at Kenaston until the car could be removed. The southbound curb lane of Kenaston Boulevard was closed north of Corydon.
